This site is operated by Arcade Doctor Parts LLC, based in Cincinnati, Ohio. This policy explains what we collect when you visit www.arcadedoctorparts.com, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We have tried to describe it plainly rather than exhaustively.
When you contact us. Our contact form asks for your name, email address, a subject, and your message. That message is emailed straight to us so we can reply. It is not saved to a database or added to a mailing list, and we do not send marketing email.
When you buy something. Payments are handled entirely by PayPal and Stripe on their own checkout pages. Your card number never passes through, and is never stored on, this website. We receive from them only what we need to fulfil and support your order — typically your name, shipping address, email address, and confirmation that payment succeeded.
Your IP address. Our direct-purchase discount is offered to buyers in the United States. To know which price to show you, we look up the country associated with your IP address and store the result so we do not have to repeat the lookup on every page. We keep only the IP address, the two-letter country code, and the time of the lookup — no city, no street-level location, and nothing tied to your name. These records are kept for 30 days and then replaced or discarded. Your IP address also appears in routine web server logs, as it does on essentially every website.
Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand which pages people find useful. It sets its own cookies and reports to Google. We use it only in aggregate — we are not trying to identify individual visitors. Google's handling of that data is governed by their own privacy policy.
This site sets no cookies of its own for ordinary browsing. The cookies you may see come from Google Analytics, and from PayPal or Stripe if you begin a checkout. If you block cookies, the shop still works — prices and ordering are unaffected.
We do not sell your personal information, and we never have. We share only what is necessary with the services that make the shop work: PayPal and Stripe to take payment, shipping carriers to deliver your order, Google Analytics as described above, and the provider we query to turn an IP address into a country. Beyond that, we disclose information only where the law requires it.
IP-to-country records are kept for 30 days. Order records are kept as long as we need them for warranty, returns, accounting, and tax — several years, as US law requires. Emails you send us are kept until they are no longer useful.
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Send the request through our contact form and we will respond. Depending on where you live — for example California, or the UK and EU — you may have additional statutory rights; we will honour those requests regardless of where you are. You can opt out of Google Analytics using Google's browser add-on, or by blocking cookies.
This is a shop for arcade and amusement machine parts. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
The site is served over HTTPS. Payment card details are handled by PayPal and Stripe and never reach our server. No system is perfectly secure, but we keep what we hold to a minimum, which is the most effective protection we can offer.
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be described here rather than made quietly.
